A Review of Stages and Flows in the Lower Ouachita River, Arkansas

This report reviews Lower Ouachita River stages as they may have affected fish populations. The flow modifications made by upstream dams are described. Rate of change in river stage is discussed; duration of flood water spawning pools of various depths is plotted; and monthly mean flows at Malvern on the Ouachita River are compared with monthly flows of the Saline River at gaging stations near Rye.
