Aerial spring survey of emperor geese (Chen canaqica) in southwestern Alaska, 3 - 6 May, 1989

The ninth consecutive spring aerial survey for emperor geese began on 3 May and was concluded on 6 May, 1989. A Total of 45,800 emperor geese were counted along the southwest coast of Alaska from Hooper Bay to Unimak Island and the south side of the Alaska Peninsula to Portage Bay.
