Animal Control Plan Great Swamp National Wildlife Refuge 1990

The refuge banding program supports refuge, regional and national goals. The high frequency of raccoon interference at banding sites during waterfowl trapping and banding efforts is therefore unacceptable. Raccoon will be live-trapped at operational banding sites and dispatched by refuge personnel during the banding season. This plan outlines this and other goals for the refuge around animal control in 1990.
