Environmental Assessment of the Forest Habitat Management Plan Noxubee 1995

Forest habitat management provides the single greatest opportunity to improve habitat conditions for the endangered red-cockated woodpecker (RCW), migratory birds, and resident species on the refuge. The refuge forest has been under constant management since 1940 when the refuge was established. The current forest habitat management plan was approved in 1971 and does not reflect the new information and technology concerning RCW management.
