In the town of Barillas, Department of Huehuetenango, a landslide was reported on Tuesday, 20 September 2011, leaving 3 fatalities and 8 people missing. The map makes it possible to visualize precipitation anomalies that exceed 300 millimeters compared with areas of high susceptibility to landslides (Landslide susceptibility SSAI/SERVIR, 2006).
