About ClimaTerrria

ClimaTerria (beta) is an AmeriGEO initiative to bridge the divide and support the use of data, information and knowledge for climate resilient communities. ClimaTerria uses the Terria Framework specifically designed to meet the needs of the climate community with 3D and 4D visualization capabilities, geoprocessing power, and live data catalogs to allow decision-makers to make geospatially-practical and accurate choices with advanced analysis and processing tools.

The tool is organized around the Essential Climate Variables established through the Global Climate Observing System (GCOS). GCOS was established in 1992 as an outcome of the Second World Climate Conference, to ensure that the observations and information needed to address climate-related issues are obtained and made available to all potential users.
