Precipitation anomalies in Panama for December 2010

According to climatological data provided by WorldClim, the typical maximum monthly rainfall in December for Panama is around 450 mm (lower left), principally in the provinces of Colón, Coclé and the Ngöbe-Buglé comarca. The larger plot on the right shows the difference between December 2010 rain (as estimated by CMORPH) and the climatology (averaged historic rainfall). The next figure shows a closer view of the areas that received much more rain than normal.
