Precipitation Anomalies, September 2011

According to satellite data from CMORPH, during September 2011, the precipitation anomalies exceeded 300 millimeters in comparison with the historic average for September (WorldClim Global Climate Data) in some areas of the Central American region. Floods and landslides were reported mainly in the Province of Chiriquí, Panama and in the Departments of Huehuetenango and Solola, Guatemala.
