Tanzania Wami Ruvu Rufiji Long Term Rainfall Trend

This product is one of the indicator layers selected in assessing vulnerability during Wami-Ruvu-Rufiji mapping. Rainfall trend captures the long-term(30 years) loss or gain in rainfall within Wami-Ruvu-Rufiji basin region. The rainfall data set is obtained from CHIRPS which is a blended satellite-station precipitation developed by CHG(Climate hazard group) and FEWSNET. Reduced rainfall trends translates to high exposure of a population or ecosystem, this has an inverse relationship to the overall vulnerability component.
