Tanzania Wami Ruvu Rufiji Water Requirement Satisfaction

This product is one of the indicator layers selected in assessing vulnerability during Wami-Ruvu-Rufiji mapping. Water requirement satisfaction index is an indicator of crop performance based on the availability of water to the crop during a growing season. High WRSI values indicate good conditions while low values indicate water stress on crops within the basin region. Therefore low values for WRSI translates to a high lack of adaptive capacity, this has an inverse relationship to the overall vulnerability component. The water requirement satisfaction index dataset is obtained from FEWSNET GeoWRSI (1981-2016).
