An online GIS map depicting the geology of the United States with links to archives and collections of downloadable data regarding the geology of the United States. The map and data focus on the western and central states; few eastern states have geological data present on the map. Data boundaries are defined by county borders, state borders, and quadrants/quadrangles of varying sizes; as a result, some areas have multiple maps or sources presenting data for them.
Downloadable data comes in PDF, JPEG, compressed GeoTIFF, and Google Earth KMZ formats.
