1993 Waterfowl Brood Survey

The annual brood survey was conducted on the evening of June 28 from 6:30 pm until sunset at 8:30 pm. Weather consisted of clear skies, warm temperatures, and a gentle breeze. A total of four refuge staff, and six volunteers staffed nine stations at North, Bill Forward, and Stage Island Pools. Observations on the dike sites were made from vehicles with the exception of the North Pool site across from Deer Island where a twelve foot observation platform was erected.
