| creationMethod |
The All of Us Research Program is building a dataset to help transform the future of health research by equipping researchers with expansive health data shared by a diverse participant cohort. The All of Us dataset is disease agnostic and can support research on various aspects of health. Thousands of health researchers are already leveraging this on-of-a-kind dataset to improve understanding of health and disease, identify opportunities to reduce disparities, and enable more precise approaches to care.

| notes |
The "All of Us NIH" dataset contains extensive health information from over 1 million participants in the United States, with an emphasis on underrepresented populations. The dataset includes electronic health records (EHRs), biospecimens, participant surveys, genomics, physical measurements, and mobile/wearable data. The All of Us Research Program was created by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to advance precision medicine and improve human health through this extensive biomedical dataset. Researchers can access the dataset through the Researcher Workbench platform in three tiers: 1. Public Tier: Aggregate data with identifiers removed, available for anyone to use. 2. Registered Tier: De-identified individual-level data, accessible only by approved researchers on the Researcher Workbench. 3. Controlled Tier: Genomic data (whole-genome sequences and genotyping arrays), previously suppressed demographic data fields from EHRs and surveys, and unshifted dates of events. The All of Us dataset is used in various studies to identify associations between genetic variations and health outcomes, develop personalized treatment plans, and improve disease prevention strategies. By making this vast amount of data accessible to researchers, the NIH aims to accelerate medical breakthroughs and improve human health.
