This map service presents spatial information about the Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP) land cover data in the Web Mercator projection. The service was developed as part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Coastal Services Center’s C-CAP Land Cover Atlas. These spatial layers represent forest fragmentation categories (i.e., patch forest, perforated forest, edge forest, and core forest) derived from 30-meter spatial resolution C-CAP thematic land cover data for the 1996 time period. C-CAP forest classes included deciduous forest, evergreen forest, mixed forest, palustrine forested wetland, and estuarine forested wetland. The Coastal Services Center will make every effort to provide continual access to this service but it may need to be taken down during routine IT maintenance or in case of an emergency. If you plan to ingest this service into your own application and would like to be informed about planned and unplanned service outages or changes to existing services, please register for our Map Services Notification Group (http://www.csc.noaa.gov/publications/subscriptions.html). We will do our best to provide you with information about any status changes to our map services. Metadata Digital Coast - NOAA Services Center, C-CAP Regional Forest Fragmentation Land Cover
