Fengyun AGRI Satellite Fire Detections

Fengyun-4 is the second generation of the geostationary meteorological satellite series operated by the National Center for Space Weather (NSMC) of the Chinese Meteorological Administration (CMA). Fengyun-4A and Fengyun-4B carry multiple instruments including Advanced Geostationary Radiation Imager (AGRI), which is a multiple channel radiation imager that collects climate and atmospheric data, including active fire and hotspot detections using a mid-infrared channel.
