This dataset, providing Peak Ground Acceleration (pga, units: g) was computed by the Global Earthquake Model Foundation using the OpenQuake-engine implementation of the 2010 USGS Seismic Hazard Model for South America (herein indicated as the MODEL; more information about the MODEL is available at this link https://hazardwiki.openquake.org/south_america_2010_intro). The MODEL domain includes Colombia, Venezuela, Guyana, Ecuador, Peru, Brazil, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile, Suriname, French Guiana, the Falkland Islands, and South Georgia & The South Sandwich Islands. The MODEL is made available under the terms of Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 4.0 (CC BY-SA 4.0) [http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/].
