Invasive Aedes in California

The California Department of Public Health, Vector-Borne Disease Section and partner agencies monitor the distribution of invasive Aedes mosquitoes throughout California as part of a state-wide vector-borne disease surveillance system.This map highlights the counties and cities where invasive Aedes aegypti (the yellow fever mosquito) and Aedes albopictus (the Asian tiger mosquito) have been found since 2011.
