Kirwin National Wildlife Refuge : Vegetation Mapping : Project Proposal

Proposal to develop a digital vegetation map for the refuge that can be incorporated into RLGIS and used to monitor progress toward achieving CCP goals and objectives. The Ecology Goal in the CCP states that the intent of management is to restore the native mixed‐grass prairie ecosystem to the extent possible and the Riparian Habitat and Upland Habitat Goal includes an objective to develop a vegetation map. A 2009 Comprehensive Refuge Review noted that a vegetation map was still needed.
