Mean grey water footprint of consumption per country (1996-2005)

It presents estimations of the mean annual grey water footprint of national consumption for the period 1996-2005. The water footprint is a measure of human’s appropriation of freshwater resources. The grey water footprint is the volume of freshwater required to assimilate the load of pollutants based on existing ambient water quality standards. Unit is cubic meter per year per capita. Disaggregated data per sectors are available in the table: agricultural production, industrial production and domestic water. A detailed description of the methodology and results can be found in the main report available here: http://temp.waterfootprint.org/Reports/Report50-NationalWaterFootprints-Vol1.pdf .
