NPS Unit Boundary-derived Areas of Analysis, Fall 2021

Dataset containing areas of analysis (AOA) for all NPS units used by the NPS Inventory and Monitoring Division (IMD) and the IRMA Unit database. The file geodatabase includes polygon feature classes of NPS unit boundary-derived AOAs: IMD_BND_AOA_Park_nad_py, IMD_BND_AOA_3km_nad_py, IMD_BND_AOA_30km_nad_py, and a point feature class of NPS park AOAs, IMD_BND_AOA_Park_nad_pt. The file geodatabase also includes multiple feature classes for each AOA type (park, 3km, 30km) for each geographic area within the NPS (Alaska, Continental U.S., Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa, Commonwealth of Northern Mariana Islands, U.S. Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico). Spatial resolution varies among extent polygons. Topology is not enforced. Information may be incomplete or incorrect for particular parks. Boundary-derived AOA polygons are not official representations of NPS park boundaries.
