Park Boundary

The feature class ParkBnd in akparks.gdb is a statewide summary of all park, preserve, monument and current wilderness boundaries. Data used in preparation of the maps were obtained from USGS 1:250,000 topographic maps depicting the ANILCA boundaries compiled in 1980 by the Interior Alaska Planning Group. Data was then transferred to 1:63,360 USGS topographic mylar base maps and reviewed for accuracy by National Park Service, Alaska Regional Office, Land Resources Program Center.
