Patent AT-E400590-T1: [Translated] POLYMERIZATION PROCESS FOR PRODUCING POROUS PROPYLENE POLYMERS AND THE POLYMERS SO PRODUCED

Described is a process for the polymerization of olefins carried out in the presence of a catalyst comprising the product of the reaction of an Al-trialkyl compound and a catalyst component comprising a titanium compound containing at least one Ti-halogen link supported on anhydrous magnesium chloride, said component being in the form of spherical particles with an average diameter between 10 and 350 mu m, surface area between 20 and 250 m/g, porosity greater than 0.2 cc/g, having an X-ray spectrum where a) reflections at angle 2 theta of 35 DEG and 2 theta of 14.95 DEG are present, or b) where the reflection at 2 theta angle of 35 DEG is no longer present but is substituted by a halo with a maximum intensity between angles 2 theta of 33.5 DEG and 35 DEG , and the reflection at angle 2 theta of 14.95 DEG is not present.
