Political Townships

Download In State Plane Projection Here. Political townships are those with elected officials - township supervisor, assessor, road commissioner, etc. However, Zion Township is uniquely defined in law as being coterminous with the City of Zion. Since the city can and does annex additional land, whenever it does so the boundary of Zion Township also changes to match it.
