Ports and Waterway Facilities

The Navigation Data Center maintained by US Army Corps of Engineers containsover 40,000 port-and-waterway facilities and other navigation points of interest. The data describe the physical and inter-modal (infrastructure) characteristics of the coastal, Great Lakes, and inland ports of the United States. Data are also included for facilities in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and the trust territories of the Pacific. The port-and-waterway facilities have been converted to a point shapefile for use.
