SHIP Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Rate (SUIDs) 2009-2017

Sudden Unexpected Infant Death Rate - This indicator shows the rate of sudden unexpected infant deaths (SUIDs) per 1,000 live births. Sudden unexpected infant deaths (SUIDs) include deaths from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), unknown cause, accidental suffocation and strangulation in bed. Three hundred and sixty-two babies died from SUIDs in Maryland from 2005-2009.
