Snowmaking Intake

The location of intakes used for snowmaking water withdrawals that are reported to the Watershed Management Division of VT DEC. Includes information from active and inactive intakes. The IntakeID field allows for connection to Snowmaking Withdrawals table. The dataset reflects the best available information at the time of creation.Conservation flow refers to the amount of water needed to be maintained in the stream/river to protect the aquatic ecosystem when a water withdrawal or diversion is operating. When flows are below the specified amount no water withdrawal for diversion can occur. Values are expressed in CSM. Other units include Minimum Waterbody Elevation in feet of allowed drawdown at impoundment and volumetric cap in gallons.This data was prepared with help from U. S. Geological Survey Award #G17AC00315.
