Calculation Method: The ParkScore is assessed by the Trust for Public Land
Survey and Analysis. The areas that make up the ParkScore categories include adequate acreage in proportion to a city’s population, services/amenities and investment, and parkland access. The ParkScore Ranking is based on a comparison of 100 participating cities in the United States, and a city’s ranking is based on a composite of their raw score in each category.
