National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) - Geographic Distribution of NPRI-Reporting Facilities

Geographical location of facilities that reported to the NPRI. This record contains a geodatabase (GDB). Additional records containing mapping services and virtual globe (KMZ) products are also available.

The National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) is Canada's public inventory of pollutant releases (to air, water and land), disposals and transfers for recycling. Under the authority of the Canadian Environmental Protection Act, 1999 (CEPA 1999), owners or operators of facilities in Canada that meet the published reporting requirements are required to report to the NPRI. Reported pollutants include toxic substances, air pollutants and other substances of concern.

Supplemental Information

NPRI data is available in a number of formats including online query tools, downloadable datasets (along with corresponding database structure tables) and map layers.
