CRED REA Coral Population Parameters at Sarigan, Marianas Archipelago, 2007

Belt transects along 2 consecutively-placed, 25m transect lines were surveyed as part of Rapid Ecological Assessments conducted at 3 sites at Sarigan in the Marianas Archipelago (MA) during 25 May - 09 June 2007 in the NOAA Hi'ialakai Reef Assessment and Monitoring Program (RAMP) Cruise (HI0703). Raw survey data included species presence and relative abundance, colony counts and size classes by genus, and determination of benthic cover using the line-intercept method. Depending on colony density, 0.5 or 1 m on each side of the transect lines was included in the belt (for a total of 25-100m2 per site).
