Hydrosat VanZyl-1 Satellite Fire Detections

The Hydrosat VanZyl-1 constellation consists of two commercial satellites that capture high-resolution thermal imagery of land and water surfaces using one thermal-infrared imager and one visible/near-infrared imager. VanZyl-1 data products are used to track water stress, assess wildfire risk, and support agricultural monitoring. Level-1 data products include minimally processed imagery data as well as radiance and brightness temperature conversions. Level-2 data imager consists of radiometric terrain corrections and conversion to surface reflectance and land surface temperature.
