This data layer consists of shaded polygons representing individual tracts of land that fall under management of the DEC. (State Parks, which fall under the management of the state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation, are not included in this layer). State Land recreationalists are responsible for knowing the appropriate rules and regulations before entering these lands. Information is available from local DEC offices.
