BLM REA CYR 2013 Open Contaminated Sites

The Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) open contaminated sites layer showed past and present contaminated sites that still require clean-up in the Central Yukon study area. Contaminated sites were located within a variety of land management jurisdictions. There were 419 open contaminated sites in the study area. Some contaminated sites were close to multiple aquatic habitats: 199 sites have the potential to affect 284 aquatic habitats in the Central Yukon study area. The majority of open contaminated sites were near small streams (130).
