Digital Inventory of Karezes in Balochistan-Pakistan (935Nos)

The Kareze system of Balochistan-Pakistan is a life-sustaining resource as well as master piece of engineering. This resource is under serious threat and needs immediate interventions for its rehabilitation. Therefore, the development of digital inventory is very critical and will provide an important role for devising appropriate rehabilitation strategies. Pakistan Council of Research in Water resources (PCRWR) in collaboration with UNESCO has started marvelous work of developing digital inventory of Karezes in Balochistan-Pakistan. This is first ever effort of developing an online database which is easily accessible with spatial location of Karezes along with its detailed attributes.
