Permitted use is the allowed use or connection classification for mainline pipes is broken out by combined sewer, drainage, and sanitary. A combined sewer is a type of sewer system that collects sanitary sewage and stormwater runoff into a single pipe system. A sanitary sewer is a type of underground system for transporting sewage.
