Great Smoky Mountains Longterm Plot Vegetation Monitoring

This database includes all data related to the Vegetation Monitoring and Soil Quality Vital Signs protocols at Great Smoky Mountains National Park. These data are derived from a network of 20mX50m permanent plots from with the Vital Signs watersheds, and is largely vegetation structure, abundance, and diversity data, as well as soil physical and chemical properties. This database contains Pilot Year plots from 2015 that are outside of the current sampling design for Vital Signs.
