Iditarod Trail

The main routes of the historic Iditarod Trail were received from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), Anchorage Office in 1992. It was converted to Arc/Info coverage and projected from BLM Albers (with 153 degree central meridian) to DNR Albers (with 154 degree central meridian). No further coding or interpretation of the Iditarod Trail was done. The source documents for this theme are provided by the BLM's 1:250,000 USGS quadrangles which serve as historic trail documents. These maps are available within BLM, through the Iditarod Trail Coordinator at the Anchorage District Office.
