Proposed Airport Impact Overlay District

This application shows the current Airport Impact (AI) Overlay District boundaries and the Loudoun County proposed airport impact overlay district contour boundaries within Loudoun county and their location in reference to parcel boundaries.  The AI Overlay District is administered by Loudoun County and its boundaries are based on the 60 decibal (dB) and 65 dB Loudness Day Night (LDN) noise contours and one-mile buffer that extends beyond the 60dB LDN contour for both the Washington-Dulles International Airport and Leesburg Municipal Airport.  The Loudoun County proposed airport noise contours are a modification of MWAA's 2019 Noise Contour study that were provided to Loudoun County's Department of Planning and Zoning to review and provide feedback on.As the location of the forecasted noise contours are viewed in closer detail, the application provides both current parcel boundaries and 2018 aerial imagery to provide a better understanding of what is happening in an area with land use.
