Tanana headquarters inventory, Nowitna National Wildlife Refuge

Provides background information on the community of Tanana to evaluate alternatives for locating the headquarters office. Tanana has several advantages as a possible headquarters site for the Nowitna Wildlife Refuge. These include: 1) its location near the proposed refuge (30 miles from the eastern boundary): 2) regular air service; 3) facilities such as a hospital, telephones, power, and a barge dock; and 4) local residents who utilize the proposed refuge for fishing and hunting.
