Tribal Consultation

The ACF Tribal Consultation Policy (PDF) was approved in 2011. The goals of ACF’s Tribal Consultation Policy include eliminating health and human service disparities, ensuring that access to critical health and human services is maximized, and advancing the social, physical, and economic status of Indians. To achieve these goals, and to the extent practicable and permitted by law, it is essential that Federally-recognized Indian Tribes and ACF engage in open, continuous, and meaningful consultation.
