World Vision Colombia Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance (OFDA) FY2019

Hope without Borders is an emergency project operated by WV Colombia and funded by USAID/OFDA. The project aims to contribute to the protection of the children and other vulnerable populations, and to the economic restoration of vulnerable households affected by the Venezuela crisis, specifically at the border region in Cúcuta and its metropolitan area. The project began in April 2018 and ended in April 2019. In the protection sector, WV established protective spaces for children with support from leaders and parents, including help to identify and support of girls who are vulnerable or at risk of Gender Based Violence (GBV). The project also included a process for strengthening and creating Productive Units to restore livelihood opportunities, coordinating with local entities, Faith Based Organizations, churches, educational institutions, and local and national government entities.
